Designed for adventurous trekkers, the 25km Trek takes approximately 6.5 hours to complete and showcases the stunning trails and panoramic views of Magnetic Island.
The journey begins in Nelly Bay, where trekkers can enjoy a spectacular sunrise over Geoffrey Bay before tackling the Nelly Arcadia Track and the Sphinx lookout. From there, the route climbs up to the historic WWII Forts, heads down the stairs to Florence Bay, and includes an out-and-back stretch to the Searchlight Tower. Trekkers will then begin another climb from Arthur Bay back to the Nelly Arcadia Trail. For the final leg, trekkers will pass by the finish line area in Nelly Bay to take on one last challenge: a climb up to Hawkings Point for a magnificent, sweeping view of Cleveland Bay. Finally, you will retrace your steps back down to cross the official finish line and enjoy the TrekFest celebration party at Nomads. Please note that participants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the event. |
