Part of your rego goes straight to Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia, helping families stay close when it matters most.

Once you're signed up for the walk, create your very own fundraising page and start rallying your crew — friends, family, coworkers, even your dog’s Instagram followers (we don’t judge).

We’re aiming to clock up a massive 14,500 kilometres together, which is a lap of Australia!

So let’s go the extra mile and raise $2 per kilometre per person.

​Transfers
You are able to transfer your entry online up until 4:00pm Thursday  16th April, 2026. There is no fee for transfer, simply login to Raceroster and begin the transfer process. You will need the email address of the person taking the entry. 

It's your responsibility to find a person to transfer your entry to. You need to organise payment between yourself and the person taking your entry. 

Please be advised if you are buying an entry from someone to ask them for proof of purchase 

Transferred entries after 20th February, 2026 will receive the t-shirt size chosen by the original entrant.

​Refunds
If you can't find anyone to replace you and would prefer a refund of your entry fee we are able to provide:
  • Full refund less $20 administration fee if you advise us by email anytime before 20th February, 2026
  • No monetary refund if you advise us after 11:59PM 20th February, 2026

What is a pest? Any foreign species, and even native Australian species that occur outside their usual habitat, can become pests. Pests can be animals, including ants, birds, plants, algae, fungi and even bacteria

Pest plants are very good at hooking onto the clothes and gear of visitors. Before coming to the island check your gear.  Ensure your clothes, socks, shoes, pockets and even the velcro on your backpack are free from seeds.

Make sure you stay to the marked trails and avoid spreading weeds across the island

When trekking Magnetic Island’s trails or remote beaches, mobile reception can be patchy — so having this app on your phone could make all the difference in an emergency.
